It has been quite sometime when all 5 of them have had fun together. Even though all of them came from different parts of the country, they all were best of friends. They stood around for each other, they all went through thick and thin altogether.
"Uhm... guys? I suggest we hang out its been days since we all had fun together. Plus, it's our Winter breaks and we are completely letting them go down the drain." Beverly texted everyone in their group. The rest four agreed. Everyone decided to meet each other after lunch at Beverly's place.
It was 6 in the evening when all of them came. For the starters they, all joked around and teased each other. It was nearly 9 when Thomas, Beverly's boyfriend saw the old lady who lived in the house opposite Beverly's standing near the window as if she was spying on the kids.
Thomas called out to everyone to check it out. Five of them stood near the window as if having a staring contest with the lady. But the lady walked away as if she had enough.
"What's up with that creepy lady?" James questioned. "I've heard elders say, that his son died and ever since then she has been in trauma," Mary said.
"Some say, her husband was a drunk bastard and used to hit her so that's is why she is who she is now," Patrick said, and Patrick is Beverly's younger brother. "Okay Patty, mind your language, you're a kid still!" Beverly said correcting her brother. Even though he was her twin.
Later that night, everyone went to their beds at Beverly's place. In the middle of the night, Thomas woke up due to disturbing noises that came from across the street from the weird house where the old lady lived. He woke everyone up.
Everyone woke up, but their groans filled the room. They all gathered around the window, just like they did the first time. This time they saw a different figure standing on the window.
It was muscular, tall, hefty... It was a male figure, but to kids information, there lived no man with the lady.
"Guys, am scared should we call the police? Or someone else? M-my parents are n-not gg-gonna be home before tomorrow night." Beverly said, stuttering, between her sobs, holding on to Thomas' hand for support. Thomas, rubbed his hand on her back to calm her down.
"Hey? Bev, it'll be alrig..." Mary was going to say but was interrupted, as the shouts and screams came from that house. "Okay! It is scary now I think we should call the police I think."
"Guys? Let's just go to sleep! Please. Just draw the curtains and turn off the lights and stay together?" James said rubbing his eye.
That night, they all sat on one bed with covers pulled up to their eyes. None of them wanted to sleep so they just sat there and talked.
But, they all fell asleep again, out of tiredness. The first light that peeked inside the room from the space between the curtains woke everyone up. They all slept upon each other, they all were tangled, just like headphones that you take out from your pockets.
