Chapter Seven : Fast Forward

It has been years since the five of them thought about going to that house! To be exact it has been five years now. Everyone was at Beverly's place to celebrate her 17th birthday.

"Do you all remember, how badly we all got scolded when Bev's parents caught us all sneaking in that house?" Thomas said, starting a conversation.

"Oh, that was so much fun," Bev replied thinking about what happened.

"Indeed!"Mary said "Bev was asked to volunteer at an orphanage and her phone was taken away. Patrick was not allowed to play on play station. Thomas had to go and work at his father's office. James had to work at the diner for a month. And my makeup was destroyed! It was sooooooo much fun"

"Mary, you are drunk let's get you laid down now," James said, picking her up and carrying her into Bev's room.

"Hey, guys? Why don't we go tomorrow? I mean a few years back our parents had the reason that we were young but now we are adults well not actually, but we are grown up to decide what is right or wrong. And mum and dad do not come back until another week. So this time, we can go and figure it all out."Patrick suggested. Everyone agreed.

"Guys, what do you all think is in that house?" James said, walking down the stairs.

"I do not know after we all got punished, I sometimes tried to use my dad's office desktop to find out more about that place online but, nothing came up all that was there was about how that old lady's husband died and nothing else. Some links did come up but then, those pages were restricted for public and were government pages and required us to enter the password, I hacked in but the computer got infected with a virus."Thomas told everyone.

"Not only that, I started having my nightmares again and so did Patty. It all started just after that woman came to my house." Bev told everyone.

"Even I started getting my nightmares again."Thomas and James said together in unison.

"James, did Mary even got her nightmare?"Patrick questioned him while the other two turned their heads toward him.

"No, I mean she never told me! I got it the first time when I returned home after that. That night, I rung up Mary and we talked the whole night. The next day, three of you said that you were getting your nightmares so, the next time I got my nightmare, I rung her up again, and asked her if she was getting hers but, she was not. I thought it was quite weird because we all were having ours but I did not think much of it and ignored."He told the rest three what happened.

"Okay, now that you have told us that, it is quite weird don't you think?"Bev said.

"It is, I mean now that you think of it, it is quite weird because she was the only one who was not there when that woman saw us, "Thomas said.

"And my mum believed that she performed black magic. So, what if she did it?" Bev said, resting her head on Thomas' shoulder.

"There is a possibility," Thomas said.

"But her dead body was found two months later. Bev's parents had to call the police because there was this weird smell coming from that house and no one answered when they knocked on her door so..!" James said.

"I am aware, I was here for Bev because she was scared during that lady's funeral. While you and Mary were nowhere, just missing from the whole scene. We tried reaching you both but it was as if you were swept off of the face of Earth."Thomas said raising his voice.

"Thomas, bro, calm down! We were busy with somethings. I have apologized plenty of times because of that to Bev. And I would still."James said replying at an equally high pitch.

"You know what? She isn't dying to hear you apologize and even if you do apologize you will not be doing either of us any favor."Thomas said. Now he was just a few inches away from James.

James pushed Thomas back, aggravating him more. Thomas now punched him square in the face resulting in James lying on the floor. Thomas got on top of him, punched him in the nose, and his cheekbone.

"Baby, get off of him. You will kill him!"Bev said while trying to get her boyfriend away from James.

Thomas pushed Bev causing her to tumble back. Patrick who just stood there watching all of this happen, now seeing his sister getting hurt, punched Thomas in the face, pulled him away and shouted at him.

"What the hell is wrong with you Thomas? You are goddamn 18 and this is how you act? So mature of you, brother. So VERY MATURE!"Patrick said shouting at his sister's boyfriend.

"Buzz off, Patty. Not right now."Thomas now turned to Bev, holding her face in his hand, "Babe, I am so very sorry, I didn't mean it to happen."

Meanwhile, James got off the floor and got himself an ice pack to soothe his fresh wounds.

"Let's just call it a night we have to get ready tomorrow for an adventure! And the early we sleep the fresh we would be in the morning."Patrick said.

"Well technically, today because it is 1 in the morning now," Bev said taking a look at the clock in the living room.

"I am sorry again Bev!"James apologized for the thousandth time now, ever since that thing happened.

"Bev? Wanna stay awake with me? I don't feel sleepy enough and we might just cuddle. Pleaseee!"Thomas requested his girl.
